Deli Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Deli Associate to join our team at Piggly Wiggly Hammond and Independence stores.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate the deli department in an efficient manner, adhering to company policies and procedures.
• Ensure a high level of customer service, responding promptly to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional manner.
• Prepare and package deli products, including meats, cheeses, and sandwiches, according to company standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Assist with receiving and stocking merchandise, verifying inventory and reporting discrepancies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment and maintaining a safe working environment.

Requirements:

• Basic mathematical ability and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Working Environment:

The work environment includes occasional exposure to refrigerated frozen food storage areas and heated ovens. The successful candidate must be able to work in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced setting.
