Job Description:
As a Clinical Administrative Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the success of our clinic operations. Your primary responsibilities include checking in patients, completing new referral intake and onboarding, scheduling patient appointments, answering billing questions, and managing patient medical records. You will be responsible for verifying patient insurance information, collecting necessary paperwork, and updating patient demographic data into computer systems. Additionally, you will process prior authorization orders, schedule appointments, and follow up with patients via phone, text, and email. This position requires excellent organizational, consultative, analytical, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently under general supervision and effectively prioritize workload. Our ideal candidate is a team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing EHRs, Practice Management platforms, and other software programs with ease. About the Role:
This full-time position is based in Phoenix, Arizona, and involves working Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM EST. As a Clinical Administrative Specialist, you can expect a competitive salary of $53,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including paid weeks of on-the-job training, which consists of one to two weeks of Optum's new employee onboarding training and the remainder completed on the job during your normal scheduled shift. About the Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a High School Diploma or GED, be at least 18 years old, and possess 3+ years of healthcare customer service experience. It is essential to have 1+ year of experience with benefit verification, prior authorization, and knowledge of ICD-9/10 and CPT codes. A strong understanding of healthcare insurance, including deductibles, copays, coinsurance, and out-of-pocket expenses, is also required.
