Golf Cart Technician

We are seeking an experienced Golf Cart Technician to join our team at Affordable Golf Cars of Venice Inc. Located in beautiful Venice, Florida, we specialize in the sales and service of new and pre-owned golf carts.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for building, customizing, repairing, maintaining, charging, servicing (gas and electric), and detailing golf carts to ensure they meet the highest standards of quality and performance. Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and excellent communication skills are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Disassemble and rebuild golf carts, including servicing, cleaning or repairing frames, replacing parts, and installing accessories according to specifications.
• Install/remove tires, windshields, mirrors, seats, roofs, and other accessories at the store or on-site.
• Battery jobs: remove, test, and clean old batteries; repair and paint battery racks; install new batteries and cables.
• Electrical work such as installing stereos, lights, horns, and battery cables.
• Golf cart repairs, routine maintenance, and charging.
• Work closely with sales and service staff to adhere to delivery schedules for golf cars purchased.
• Complete service/parts paperwork to track customization and repairs done to stock cars.

Requirements:

• 1 year prior job experience building or repairing vehicles (golf carts, boats, automobiles) is preferred.
• Must be able to operate golf carts, pressure washers, air impact tools, handheld tools, and golf car programmers.
• Must be able to work with a wide range of coworkers and support a team environment.
• MUST BE MECHANICALLY INCLINED, DETAIL ORIENTED, SELF-MOTIVATED, EFFICIENT, ORGANIZED, adhere to deadlines, and able to manage builds/service work on multiple golf carts; multi-task.
• Must be able to lift 80 pounds repeatedly and tolerate loud noises and outdoor weather conditions.
