Job Summary

As a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit at Norman Regional Health System, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality nursing care to patients with complex medical conditions. Your expertise and strong assessment skills will enable you to effectively manage life-support systems, evaluate patient outcomes, and collaborate with a dedicated healthcare team.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and reassess patients' health care needs systematically, taking into account their specific age group and condition.
  • Analyze assessments to determine nursing diagnoses and expected outcomes, involving patients, families, and other healthcare providers as necessary.
  • Implement and coordinate care through interventions to achieve goals and needs using professional judgment guided by current evidence-based practice, regulations, and policy.
  • Evaluate patient outcomes by utilizing critical thinking and evidence-based knowledge to recognize problems, evaluate facts, and reach sound conclusions.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Associate's degree (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
  • Previous experience in the healthcare field is preferred.
  • Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license and Basic Life Support (BLS) training are required.
