Job Requirements
  • Master of Science in Physics or related field
  • Completed residency in Radiation Oncology Physics
  • Board Eligible (Must have a Board Certification for Travelers)
  • BLS
  • Certified Therapeutic Medical Physicist (American Board of Radiology, American Board of Medical Physics or Canadian College of Physicist in Medicine) preferred

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiation oncology and experience with machine QA, treatment planning, and clinical QA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform machine QA on Varian True Beam with Align RT, IDENTIFY, HyperArc, Varian Cones, GammaMed iX HDR afterloader, xStrahl Superficial Therapy Unit and Philips Brilliance Big Bore CT using Dose Lab and Sun Nuclear software
  • Participate in radiosurgery treatment planning and plan checks using Eclipse, Velocity, Aria, ClearCheck
  • Attend radiosurgery procedures at the machines to provide physics guidance regarding IGRT and surface guidance implementation and ensure safe workflow
  • Attend department clinical QA meetings and participate in weekly and closing patient chart QA
