Overview
As a leader in the fast-paced Emergency Department at UT Southwestern Medical Center, you will oversee daily operations and assist the Nurse Manager in evaluating and implementing policies, procedures, and educational programs to deliver outstanding patient care. This role requires a strong nursing background, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to motivate and guide a team of highly skilled professionals.

Responsibilities
• Demonstrate continuous performance improvement in targeted areas of responsibility, aligning with hospital performance improvement targets.
• Meet or exceed financial goals and objectives, ensuring effective management of resources and budget allocation.
• Supervise and evaluate staff, promoting a culture of excellence and providing opportunities for growth and development.
• Collaborate with colleagues to resolve issues, prioritize tasks, and optimize workflow efficiency.
• Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork, open communication, and respect among staff members.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited Nursing program.
• 3+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) in high-acuity settings, preferably in the Emergency Department.
• Possession of relevant certifications, such as ACLS and BLS.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team of professionals.
• Familiarity with hospital policies, procedures, and regulations, including those related to patient safety and confidentiality.

Salary
