The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.

We offer a competitive salary of $78,000 per year, with consideration for additional experience & skills.

Job Description:

  • Initiative Support: Collaborate with departments to plan, implement, and monitor funded initiatives.
  • Data Analysis: Compile data, metrics, and information from multiple departments to create written reports, presentations, and visual materials.
  • Project Timelines: Create project timelines and planners to track funded deliverables and deadlines.
  • Team Collaboration: Support all departments in creating and meeting deadlines, sharing updates, and collaborating on workflows for funded projects.
  • Grants Management: Support the grants management process, including documentation and real-time reporting.
  • DEI Alignment: Identify, communicate, and align work with PTA's DEI values and commitments.
  • General Support: Provide general support to the team and colleagues.

Writing & Editing:

  • Content Creation: Conduct background research to create written and visual resources that engage audiences. Collaborate with teams to ensure alignment to internal processes and the PTA brand.
  • Report Writing: Work across departments to create content for written reports, including one pagers, white papers, and funded work reporting for internal and external audiences.
  • Editing Services: Provide writing support and editing for various departments.

Software System Support:

  • Tool Onboarding: Support all departments in successfully onboarding and using project management tools.
  • System Maintenance: Support project management software and tools to include data entry, report generation, and communication across various systems to sustain funded work.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 5-7 years of professional experience, including at least 3 years in project management, preferably within an education nonprofit or association.
  • Education: A bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience, with a background in nonprofit work.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a proven ability to create content for internal and external stakeholders. Technological proficiency, with the ability to quickly learn and implement software solutions for project management and reporting.
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational skills and high attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • DEI Commitment: A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), with experience contributing to an inclusive working environment.
  • Candidates: The ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams, with a proven track record of prioritizing tasks, adapting to changing priorities, and securing support from key decision-makers.
  • Public Education Interest: A strong interest in public education, with a thorough understanding of PTA's mission and goals.

Working Conditions:

  • Office Environment: Work is performed in a professional office environment, currently in a hybrid structure with at least two days a week in office.
  • Occasional Events: Position may be required to work occasional evenings and weekends for special programs and/or events.
  • Lifting Requirements: This is a largely sedentary role. Routine activities and special events may require the ability to lift files, packages, and related materials weighing up to 20 lbs and to bend or stand as necessary.
