Radiation Oncology Nurse

Job Summary
As a Radiation Oncology Nurse with Della Infotech, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients during consultation, on-treatment visits, and post-treatment follow-up exams for symptomatology and perform follow-up calls.
- Manage symptoms appropriately, autonomously, and judiciously.
- Evaluate each patient response and efficacy of nursing interventions.
- Education patients on managing symptoms and self-care, identifying patient home care needs, and seeking additional resources or support for the patient.
- Assist with development of coordinated care plans for patients during the course of radiation therapy, including specialized, concomitant therapies such as protocol patients receiving chemo and radiation.
- Ensure diagnostic tests are ordered, scheduled, and completed. Monitor, trend lab results, and correlate them with patient's clinical status.
- Administer emergency care as needed. Coordinate direct or ER patient care admissions.
- Administer prescribed medications for symptom relief, pre/post therapy or procedure. Refill prescriptions safely.
- Monitor patients as needed, starting IV therapy, and managing a patient throughout the procedure.
- Participate in research studies.
Requirements
- 1 year of outpatient oncology experience - REQUIRED
- COVID VACCINATION - REQUIRED
- Experience in Radiation Oncology - Preferred
