Sales Director, Food Industry Vertical

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced sales leader to drive growth, secure new business, and maintain strong relationships with key accounts in the food industry vertical.
Role OverviewThis role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the food industry, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record in sales management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve company goals and growth objectives within the food industry, directly in North America and via collaboration globally.
Main Responsibilities- Strategic Planning:Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company goals and growth objectives within the food industry, directly in North America and via collaboration globally.
- Business Development:Lead a team of Strategic Sales people to identify and pursue new business opportunities, expanding our market presence and customer base.
- Account Management:Ensure that strong relationships are maintained with key accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty, including leading complex legal negotiations.
- Team Leadership:Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Market Analysis:Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
- Sales Forecasting:Highly-engaged use of CRM (Salesforce) to prepare and manage sales forecasts, budgets, and reports, ensuring accurate and timely information for decision-making.
We offer a competitive salary range of $150,000 - $200,000 per year, plus 30% variable compensation. This position also offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage, spending accounts, paid time off, holidays, and more.
This role is preferred in Chicago, Milwaukee, or Cambridge, MD, but we are open to all of North America. With 25-50% travel required, you'll have the opportunity to explore new markets and build relationships with key accounts.
