Job Description

At The Salvation Army Central Territory, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Janitorial Assistant to join our team. As a Janitorial Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Ensure that all areas of the facility are clean and well-maintained, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on cleaning equipment and report any issues to the facilities manager.
  • Supply Management: Order and manage cleaning supplies, ensuring that the facility is always stocked with the necessary materials.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to ensure that all areas of the facility are clean and well-maintained.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience in cleaning and maintenance is preferred.
  • Skills: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals, and ability to work independently.
