Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Pharmacy Specialist to join our team. This role will provide critical support to our pharmacists by processing prescriptions, selecting and preparing medications, and operating automated dispensing technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process prescriptions in a timely manner and ensure accuracy under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
  • Select and prepare medications as authorized by a physician, under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist.
  • Operate and support automated dispensing technology to supply correct medications for individual patients, according to pharmacist and physician orders.
  • Solve issues with patient payment (prior authorization, patient assistance needed, etc.). Sells prescriptions to patients and processes payment.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong foundation in pharmacy practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Registration with the NC Board of Pharmacy and certification as a CPhT from PTCB or ExCPT from NHA are preferred.
