About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Medication Technician to join our team at Bright Leaf Place. As a Medication Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by assisting with medication administration, observing resident behavior, and reporting any concerns to our healthcare team.

The successful candidate will have experience working with seniors, preferably as a Certified Nurse's Aid or in a similar role. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, following established protocols, and working collaboratively with our healthcare team to ensure seamless care delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with medication administration, observing residents for signs of adverse reactions, and reporting concerns to the healthcare team
  • Conduct regular rounds to monitor resident condition, observe behavior, and identify potential concerns
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including medication charts and treatment plans
  • Communicate effectively with residents, family members, and healthcare staff to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current on best practices in senior care

Qualifications:

  • Certified Nurse's Aid (CNA) certification or equivalent experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with seniors, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to lift 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as needed
