Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor to join our team at Children's National Health System. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Accounts Payable department, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and provide guidance to a team of accounts payable processors, ensuring they meet performance expectations and adhere to company policies.
  • Support the management of end-to-end accounts payable processes, including invoice processing, payment approvals, and vendor reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with vendors to resolve payment issues, disputes, and inquiries, maintaining positive relationships through effective communication and timely responses.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for the accounts payable department, generating regular reports on departmental performance and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Continuously evaluate existing accounts payable processes and systems, identifying opportunities for automation, standardization, and efficiency improvements.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of progressively responsible experience in accounts payable, with a focus on process management and vendor relationship management.
  • Proven leadership experience, including supervising and developing a team.
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable principles, practices, and relevant accounting standards.
  • Familiarity with financial systems and software used in accounts payable functions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
