Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at the Davies Institute for Speech & Hearing. As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for conducting therapy sessions, assessing and treating children with developmental challenges, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care and progress.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct therapy sessions and assessments to identify children's needs and develop personalized treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, speech therapists, audiologists, and other professionals to provide comprehensive support
- Work closely with children, parents, and educators to ensure progress and provide resources and support
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with families and community partners to promote child development and well-being
Requirements
- Occupational Therapy degree and certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working with children and families
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Empathy, patience, and understanding in working with children and families
