About the Role

We are seeking an experienced AP Specialist to join our team at Gal Manufacturing, a Vantage Elevation Company. As an AP Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting and financial processes.

Job Summary

The primary responsibilities of this position include preparing journal entries and account reconciliations, receiving, processing, verifying, reconciling, entering, and posting invoices, and ensuring timely payments to vendors/suppliers.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records of all vendor payments
  • Track outgoing payments
  • Responsible for paying and keeping record of all invoices
  • Analyze accounts
  • Research and approve new vendors and create new vendor accounts
  • Reconcile statements and payment records
  • Ensure payment credits are applied correctly
  • Streamline the payment process
  • Assist with audits
Requirements
  • Degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or other related field preferred
  • 3-5 years' experience for entry-level positions
  • Comfortable with productivity tools such as Microsoft Office Suite
  • Functional knowledge of database and spreadsheet tools, such as Excel
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively as needed
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Distinctly self-motivated and capable of handling multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment
