Job Summary:
This position directs and coordinates the admissions process on a daily basis, ensuring quality, safety, and advocacy for patients and staff. The ideal candidate will possess a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in New Mexico or eligibility for such licensure, with five years of experience in the essential duties and responsibilities of the classification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Directs the management and functions of the Admissions Department in accordance with agency policy and procedure, JCAHO Accreditation standards, and DOH Policy and Procedure.
- Develops and implements MEP, ensures interim reviews and annual appraisals are completed as per agency policy.
- Coordinates the admissions process, identifies problems or concerns, and initiates appropriate action as applicable.
Requirements:
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in New Mexico or eligibility for such licensure.
- Five years of experience in the essential duties and responsibilities of the classification.
- Ability to work in an office setting with extensive computer and telephone usage.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed in the office setting with exposure to visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive computer and telephone usage.
Supplemental Information:
This position is designated as safety sensitive and is subject to pre-employment and random testing, in accordance with all terms and conditions of federal and state law, rules and regulations in relation to alcohol and/or drug testing.
