Physician - Hospitalist Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physician - Hospitalist Specialist to join our team at Ascension Health. As a key member of our medical staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and Treat Patients: You will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills.
- Work with a Team: You will work with a team of experienced healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Respond to Code Blue/Rapid Response Calls: You will be responsible for responding to all code blue/rapid response calls and performing procedures as needed.
- Improve Cost Effectiveness and Quality of Care: You will work to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.
- Accept Patient Referrals: You will accept patient referrals from other physicians and act as admitting, attending, and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization.
- Participate in Academic Programs: You will participate in academic programs, such as medical education and research, as requested.
- Provide Documentation: You will provide appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements and appeal all denials in a timely manner.
- Participate in Inpatient and Outpatient Consultation: You will participate in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on-call schedules.
Our hospital is a state-of-the-art facility with a newly renovated 90-bed patient tower. We have a full complement of sub-specialists on staff, including cardiology, pulmonary/critical care, gastroenterology, renal, and surgical specialists.
We have a supportive nursing/administrative team and an average admission per night of 8. Our hospital is located in a safe and family-oriented community with a relatively low cost of living.
