Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Electrician to join our team at JLL. As a Mobile Electrician, you will be responsible for maintaining, installing, and troubleshooting all aspects of electrical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain, install, and troubleshoot electrical infrastructure, including equipment and systems.
  • Operate, inspect, and maintain electrical equipment and systems to ensure efficient operation and life expectancy.
  • Assure that equipment is maintained in an energy-efficient and safe manner, with minimal downtime.
  • Demonstrate technical expertise in electrical systems and maintain basic knowledge of other trades to complete daily/weekly work assignments.
  • Plan and layout work details for the assembly, installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of electrical apparatus, control equipment, and wiring.
  • Troubleshoot and correct faulty wiring or electrical difficulties in motors and other equipment.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, upgrade, and install electrical and instrumentation equipment and systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematic drawings.
  • Interact with clients and maintenance staff to determine the best approach to completing assignments in a safe and environmentally compliant manner.
  • Safely use a variety of hand and shop power tools.
  • Complete all documentation by required deadlines, accurately and clearly in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Perform incidental/associated work required to complete job assignments.
  • Work with minimal supervision and proactively communicate with manager.
  • Maintain work area and equipment in a safe, efficient, and clean operating condition.
  • Adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
  • Assist in performing other duties, including work of other trades as required.
Physical Work Conditions
  • Work in close spaces, such as closets, crawl spaces, attics, vaults, etc.
  • Work on roofs of buildings.
  • Subject to call-in work 24 hours a day, perform on-call duties, and overtime as required.
  • Lifting up to 80 lbs.
  • Working from heights.
  • Frequently climbing, bending, lifting, kneeling, stooping, and working/extending overhead.
  • Working in adverse conditions, such as extreme cold and extreme heat.
  • Driving for long periods of time.
  • Climbing a ladder with a 300 lb. weight limit while carrying a tool bag weighing approximately 20 lbs.
Requirements
  • Candidate must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license.
  • Electrician Journeyman's and/or State License is required.
  • High school diploma or state equivalent required.
  • A minimum of 4 years of electrical trade school or training equivalent, with 5+ years of electrical work experience.
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and local codes.
  • Team player, hard worker, good interpersonal skills, ability to communicate well in both oral and written reports.
  • Good verbal and written communications skills are required.
  • Skilled and physically able to operate hand tools, work on a ladder, carry tools, lift, and carry heavy loads, operate required equipment, and operate a motor vehicle.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of overall MEP system design and application.
  • Experience managing work orders, utilizing CMMS technology.
  • Experience working in a service-related role, specific to commercial facilities.
