Draftsman/Record Center Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Draftsman/Record Center Manager to support our Process Safety Management (PSM) and OSHA 1910 requirements. The successful candidate will maintain Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and other Process Safety Information in an updated condition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and update drawings using MicroStation Version 8i, including plot plans and underground drawings.
  • Provide paper copies of existing underground drawings to the maintenance group prior to any plant site excavation.
  • Offer in-house drafting services for all departments, including new drawings, updating of existing drawings, copying services, and assistance with engineering archives.
  • Maintain the organization of the drafting area and engineering archives, including the drawing files, equipment files, and other files.
  • Provide assistance to Altivia Institute engineers and others in developing projects, including supplying reference information and drawings and creating preliminary layouts and concept drawings.
  • Coordinate with engineering companies on capital projects, providing necessary plant information, files, and drawings.
  • Update and return existing drawings, merging them into the existing Engineering archives and files.
  • Be the main contact for the drafting room Engineering copier and plotters, coordinating with I.T. services to keep the equipment in working order and maintain the required supplies.

Requirements:

  • Experience using MicroStation Version 8i.
  • Associate Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience.
