Public Safety Officer

Job Summary
The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a Public Safety Officer to join its team. As a Public Safety Officer, you will be responsible for screening students, patients, staff, faculty, and visitors entering the facilities of the University for proper identification. You will also patrol university buildings and property on foot to prevent theft, vandalism, or fire, and respond to calls for service in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Patrol university buildings and property on foot to prevent theft, vandalism, or fire.
- Respond to calls for service and provide requested services in a timely manner.
- Screen all persons entering university facilities and challenge persons without appropriate identification or suspicious persons.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including emergency recall and extended hours during man-made or natural disasters.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of relevant work experience.
- Valid Class A, B, or C Texas driver's license.
- Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.
