Fitness Club Manager

We are seeking a skilled Fitness Club Manager to join our team at New York Sports Clubs. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to lead our fitness club to success.
About the RoleThe Fitness Club Manager will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our club, focusing on driving net revenue gain through membership sales, average dues, and ancillary growth.
This role requires excellent business acumen skills, including supervisory, leadership, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities. You will also need superior managerial, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a strong emphasis on customer service.
Responsibilities- Hold yourself and your team accountable to high standards of operational excellence.
- Support team development through coaching and provide ongoing and constructive feedback in a timely manner.
- Assist in the assessment of employee performance and provide timely feedback.
- Courageously address employee issues and handle discipline as needed, in accordance with company policy.
- Develop rapport with fellow employees using situational leadership principles.
- Schedule and direct regular meetings and events to share information, set goals, increase morale, and review business processes in the absence of the General Manager.
You will work closely with the General Manager to resolve issues affecting the service, efficiency, and productivity of the club. This includes resolving customer complaints and managing conflict effectively.
Additional responsibilities include confirming Member Experience Walkthroughs (MEW) and Figure 8's are completed daily, reviewing and adhering to all NYSC documents, and inspecting clubs to ensure adequate security and physical facilities comply with safety and environmental codes.
Requirements- 2-3 years of management/supervisory experience in a fitness, hospitality, or retail environment.
- Bachelor's degree in business, sales, marketing, finance, or a related field preferred but not necessary.
- Prior experience with CRM, LMS, UKG Ready, and Microsoft Office is a plus.
- Child & Adult AED/CPR certified.
The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
This is a full-time position with a rotating schedule that includes opening and closing hours, weekday and weekend shifts. Ability to work days, nights, holidays, and weekends according to the needs of the business.
