Early Childhood Substitute Teacher

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Early Childhood Substitute Teacher to join our team at Down East Community Partners. As a substitute teacher, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to children in our programs.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain a safe and healthy learning environment for children by following all safety protocols and procedures.
• Assist teaching staff in implementing daily curriculum and activities that promote school readiness and parent engagement.
• Interact with children at their level to support learning opportunities and encourage problem-solving skills.
• Participate in family-style meals and maintain a clean, safe, and healthy classroom environment.
• Responsible for visual checks of the classroom and playground environments to ensure safety and correct or report any unsafe conditions.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries in relationships with families and co-workers.

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Attend all agency-required training and maintain registry in MRTQ.
• Pass background checks.

Salary Range:

$16.98 - $17.50 per hour

Bonus:

$250 sign-on bonus
