Job Description Summary

The Nurse Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the effective implementation of the hospital's philosophy, goals, policies, and procedures. This position requires strong leadership and decision-making skills to make informed decisions in patient care, bed flow, staffing, and scheduling.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and maintain unit compliance with regulatory, accrediting, and hospital policies for patient services, environmental, and personnel safety.
  • CQI Program Support: Participate in the development and monitoring of critical aspects of care through regular reports and presentations.
  • Licensure and Knowledge: Maintain current licensure and knowledge of patient care requirements for all patients on the unit.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify real and potential problems affecting service and implement solutions with follow-through communication.
  • Fiscal Management: Effectively manage department operations to ensure proper utilization of organizational and financial resources.
  • Technology Embracement: Stay current with technology-based changes related to care delivery and documentation.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other departments to improve and enhance patient care services.
