Hillcrest Children and Family Center is committed to fostering a culture of inclusivity, respect, and collaboration. We are seeking a highly skilled Family Engagement Strategist to join our team.

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience

About the Role:

  • Develop and implement research-based family and community engagement strategies to support student achievement and school improvement
  • Foster positive relationships and create effective partnerships between the district and community
  • Identify resources and training opportunities to support diverse school communities
  • Serve as liaison between the Engagement Office, school personnel, families, and partners
  • Facilitate communications between school personnel, families, and school partners
  • Conduct universal screenings to promote early identification of health issues
  • Implement curriculums for students on stress management, suicide prevention, substance abuse, or other concerns deemed pertinent to the need of the assigned school site
  • Participate in the school support team and other entities to promote the socio-emotional and academic wellness of students

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university
  • Three years' experience developing and facilitating training opportunities for adult learners
  • Three years' experience in systems change, community organizing, communications or development in a nonprofit, government, or business setting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to make effective public presentations
  • Ability to analyze data and systems that can affect parents
  • Interpersonal skills that emphasize team building
