Engineering Manager

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Engineering Manager to join our team at Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our properties, ensuring that our facilities are safe, clean, and well-maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and plans to ensure that our properties are well-maintained and that any issues are addressed promptly.
- Work closely with our Director of Engineering to ensure that all local, state, and federal laws are complied with.
- Conduct regular inspections of our properties to identify any maintenance needs and ensure that all work is completed to a high standard.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure that we are getting the best value for our money.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a maintenance or facilities management role, preferably in a supervisory capacity.
- Experience with building maintenance systems and processes, preferably in a supervisory capacity.
- Previous experience in security, life safety, or loss prevention is a plus.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
