Respiratory Therapist Role in Pulmonary Clinic

MUSC Community Physicians is a leading entity within the Medical University of South Carolina, providing high-quality healthcare to patients across rural South Carolina.
Our Respiratory Therapist plays a vital role in assisting with patient diagnosis, treatment, and management for pulmonary disorders.
We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team in Columbia. As a key member, you will be responsible for collecting and analyzing sputum, blood, and breath specimens to determine oxygen and carbon dioxide levels, as well as lung capacity.
Responsibilities also include administering prescribed treatments, overseeing respiratory therapy technicians, and working closely with physicians to ensure comprehensive patient care.
This office-based position offers a competitive hourly rate of $42.50-$45.00, reflecting the current industry standards and regional factors.
The ideal candidate must possess a degree from a CoArc-approved program, be licensed by the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulations Board of Medical Examiners, and certified as RRT by the National Board for Respiratory Care. Additionally, a valid Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or equivalent is required.
