About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team in Houston, TX. As a trusted non-profit organization, we provide opportunities for medical professionals to make a difference in their community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform testing, prepare reagents, and document quality control and preventive maintenance according to standard operating procedures.
  • Update results from workstation computer to Laboratory Information system; enter and verify manual results, and quarantine units as required.
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities within the department, and perform special tasks assigned by supervisor.
  • Foster a safe work environment by following safety procedures, using personal protective equipment, and adhering to engineering controls.
Requirements
  • Hold a MLT (ASCP) certification with 3+ years of clinical laboratory testing experience, or an MLS (ASCP) certification with a Bachelor's Degree in a science major.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills, responding to client concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $22-$28 per hour. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, disability, critical illness, life, vision, accident, and behavioral health insurance, as well as a 401K plan, direct deposit, and referral bonus program.

Work Schedule and Culture

Our work schedule includes Tuesdays through Saturdays, or Fridays through Mondays, from 2pm to 10pm. The building is located near NRG Stadium, providing access to various restaurants during lunchtime. Our company values enhance community health awareness and offers a supportive work environment.
