Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Henry Ford Health System. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for operating radiographic equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images and working directly with patients, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate radiographic equipment to produce clinical diagnostic radiographs and images
  • Perform diagnostic procedures according to established standards and radiation safety practices
  • Work directly with patients, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care
  • Follow established rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of Genesys Regional Medical Center
  • Assist in the instruction and training of radiology students and new employees
  • Act as a technical resource for radiology residents and radiologists
Requirements
  • Must possess equivalent of a high school diploma and completed an accredited 2-year radiology program
  • Must be certified as a Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Must be physically and mentally capable of performing all duties of the position
  • Must be able to effectively communicate orally, in writing, by telephone, and with staff, physicians, and patients
Working Conditions

The Radiology Technologist will work in a fast-paced hospital environment, exposed to patient illnesses and communicable diseases. The position requires standing and walking for a greater part of the day, as well as lifting, assisting, supporting, and transferring patients and supplies.
