Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician

Job Summary:

Sirtex Medical is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to support the manufacturing facility in Wilmington, MA. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that only product meeting defined quality and regulatory standards leaves the manufacturing location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections to ensure compliance with company procedures.
  • Conduct visual inspections, measurements, and functional tests using calibrated equipment and instruments.
  • Authorize release of approved material, subassemblies, and finished product.
  • Prevent release of suspect or known nonconforming product and materials by identifying and reporting non-conforming products and materials promptly.
  • Perform microbiological testing of environment and product.
  • Administer equipment control activities, such as calibration and preventive maintenance.
  • Work with or around beta-emitting radioactive material in a safe manner, adhering to provided guidelines and safeguards.
  • Ensure all activities are performed in accordance with Quality System requirements, work instructions, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • High school degree
  • Fluent in English (read, write, and speak)
  • Ability to learn and successfully execute tasks such as visual inspection and product testing
  • Previous experience working in Quality Assurance in a medical device, pharmaceutical, or other regulated industry preferred
  • Previous experience handling chemicals and using basic chemical laboratory equipment preferred
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Self-starter and the ability to work as part of a team
  • Strong verbal, written, analytical, and persuasive skills and ability to interact effectively with all levels
  • Basic office computer skills (email, word processing, and spreadsheet software)
