Security Systems Specialist

Job Description:
As an Alarm Installation Technician at Southeast Texas HR, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients' facilities. Your primary responsibilities will include installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting alarm and CCTV systems, as well as collaborating with our team of professionals to design and implement customized security solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Installation and Maintenance: Install and maintain alarm and CCTV systems in a variety of facilities, including commercial and residential properties.
- Collaboration and Design: Work closely with our team to design and implement customized security solutions that meet the unique needs of our clients.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Troubleshoot system issues and provide timely solutions to ensure minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
- User Training and Support: Train end-users on proper system operation and maintenance, ensuring they have the necessary knowledge to get the most out of their security systems.
- Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of system installations, repairs, and upgrades, providing valuable insights into system performance and identifying areas for improvement.
- Travel and Accommodations: Occasionally travel to client sites outside of town, staying in company-provided accommodations and using a company vehicle.
- Industry Advancements: Stay up-to-date with the latest industry advancements and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve our security solutions and stay ahead of the competition.
- Safety Regulations: Adhere to all relevant safety regulations and guidelines, prioritizing the safety of ourselves, our clients, and their property.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred.
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in alarm and CCTV installation and maintenance.
- Technical Skills: Strong technical skills, including proficiency in wiring, cabling, and networking.
- Security Technologies: Familiarity with various security technologies, such as access control systems, sensors, and cameras.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints.
- Travel: Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
- Background Check: Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Certifications: TWIC card required.
