About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Science Engineering Associate to join our team at Sparc The World. As a key member of our data science team, you will play a critical role in designing and building a robust data science infrastructure platform that enhances the adoption of data science across our portfolio companies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement cloud architecture, data engineering infrastructure, and AI modeling best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with our Portfolio Operations Blackstone Data Science team and the Blackstone Technology Innovations group to scale core infrastructure.
  • Develop data science applications utilizing cutting-edge cloud technologies and modeling techniques.
  • Implement software engineering best practices to convert ad hoc analyses into production-quality code.
  • Act as a technical lead on projects, effectively communicating complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as computer science, data science, or engineering.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in software engineering, data engineering, or development operations.
  • Proficiency in programming languages including Python and SQL, with experience in strongly typed or functional languages being advantageous.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies, CI/CD, Kubernetes, Containers, and Terraform.
  • Foundation in statistics and mathematics.
  • Strong analytical skills and a desire to tackle technical challenges.
  • Excellent communication and project management abilities.
  • Capacity to work independently and as part of a team, meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive annual base salary range of $140,000 - $150,000 and a dynamic work environment that fosters growth and innovation.
