Job Overview

Axle Logistics, a leading third-party logistics provider in Knoxville, TN, seeks a highly skilled EDI Logistics Integration Specialist to enhance electronic communication capabilities and streamline data exchange processes.

This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements and develop EDI integration strategies tailored to transportation and logistics operations. The successful candidate will work closely with the Analytics team, logistics consultants, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless EDI integration and efficient data flow.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, configure, and implement EDI solutions to enable smooth communication between Axle Logistics and external partners.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and protocols, including ANSI X12, EDIFACT, and XML, while adhering to internal data security policies.
  • Develop and maintain EDI maps to facilitate data translation between various systems and formats.
  • Troubleshoot data mapping issues and conduct testing to validate successful data exchange.
  • Lead the onboarding process for new trading partners, working closely with clients, carriers, and vendors to establish EDI connections efficiently.
  • Provide technical support to resolve EDI-related inquiries and issues promptly.
  • Continuously assess and optimize EDI processes to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and enhance data accuracy and reliability.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in EDI standards (ANSI X12, EDIFACT, XML) and data mapping tools.
  • Ability to analyze complex data integration challenges and provide innovative solutions.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with internal teams and external partners.
  • Capable of handling multiple priorities and tight deadlines in a fast-paced logistics environment.
