Job Overview

Bio-Rad Laboratories is seeking an in-house corporate intellectual property counsel to support its global Life Sciences Group. This position reports to the VP, Asst. General Counsel Intellectual Property.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated base salary for this position is $149,000 to $204,800. Key Responsibilities
  • Developing and managing company patent portfolio.
  • Providing trademark advice.
  • Analyzing third-party patents, freedom-to-operate studies.
  • Drafting and negotiating intellectual property licensing agreements.
  • IP due diligence.
  • IP monetization strategy.
  • IP training and counseling.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A JD from an accredited Law School.
  • 5-7 years of Intellectual Property Law experience in a law firm or corporation.
  • Previous in-house experience in a life science or clinical diagnostics company is desired.
  • Strong communications and negotiation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, working well with clients and colleagues.
