Director of Strategic Partnerships

At Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Strategic Partnerships to join our team. As a key member of our Institutional Advancement department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive fundraising strategies to secure financial support from various sources. Your primary focus will be on creating and executing a cohesive plan that includes Major Giving, Corporate and Foundation, and Leadership Annual Giving initiatives. You will work closely with our administration, faculty, and departmental leaders to advance departmental goals and ensure alignment with Institute priorities. Your exceptional leadership and communication skills will enable you to motivate and develop a high-performing team of fundraisers, while also providing daily verbal and written communication to the unit and department staff. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising plan that includes Major Giving, Corporate and Foundation, and Leadership Annual Giving initiatives.
- Manage a personal major gift donor/prospect portfolio with a primary focus on securing gifts at or above the $100,000 level.
- Sustain and elevate working relationships with administration, faculty, and departmental leaders across campus.
- Provide daily verbal and written communication to the unit and department staff.
- Supervise, lead, and provide mentorship for team members.
- Develop, plan, implement, and administer organizational goals and objectives.
- Ensure departmental goals align with Institute priorities and participate in the budgeting process.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in fundraising, preferably in a higher education setting.
- Proven track record of success in securing major gifts and developing strategic partnerships.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
