Job Summary

As a Registered Nurse in our ENT specialty practice, you will provide direct patient care, education, and support to patients in a fast-paced outpatient setting. You will work closely with our team of healthcare professionals to coordinate care, provide expert nursing knowledge, and influence nursing practice in our assigned setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provides direct patient care in an outpatient physician practice setting, maintaining an advanced knowledge base of disease entities, medications, and treatment options.
  • Assesses and evaluates extensive health history, evaluates effectiveness of care, and makes changes according to predetermined care plan or after consultation with physician.
  • Performs phone triage accurately, involving physicians when needed, and uses critical thinking skills and advanced knowledge to handle patient concerns.
  • Triages current patient population and incoming referrals, prioritizes scheduling of office visits and testing, and informs physicians of any changes in schedule.
  • Identifies learning needs of patients and/or families, works with team members and community resources to develop and carry out educational plans, and modifies the process as needed to ensure educational objectives are met.
  • Assists with in-office procedures, provides comfort and safety measures for patients before, during, and after procedures, and assumes responsibility for patient safety by maintaining a safe environment.
  • Champions the development, implementation, and evaluation of PI projects and policies and procedures specific to the specialty area, mentors and assists new team members until they are proficient, and evaluates own nursing practice in relation to professional practice standards, guidelines, state statues, policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
  • 1 year of Clinical Nursing Experience within specialty or related applicable specialty.
  • Licensed to practice as a RN in South Carolina.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification in specialty area preferred.
  • IV insertion and maintenance experience preferred.
