Job Overview:

Danville Community College, a leading institution in the Commonwealth of Virginia, is seeking an experienced Graphic Imaging Technology Instructor to join its faculty. This full-time position offers a competitive salary and opportunities for professional growth.

Salary: The estimated salary range for this position is $55,000 - $65,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will teach a variety of Graphic Imaging Technology courses, including Introduction to Processes of Printing, Applied Math for Graphics, Digital Printing, and Printing Applications. Responsibilities will include maintaining accurate student records, meeting deadlines associated with student performance, and participating in college activities and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree in Graphic Imaging Technology or an equivalent related degree
  • A minimum of two years' work experience in the field
  • Demonstrated software knowledge and experience, including the Adobe Creative Suite and Macintosh operating system
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of traditional design methods and techniques
  • Ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff, and student population
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Imaging Technology or a related field
  • Community college teaching experience
  • 5 or more years of Graphic Imaging Technology industry experience
