Job Summary

This position is responsible for analyzing, investigating, and prosecuting suspected violations of the Virginia Consumer Protection Act, the Virginia Solicitation of Contributions law, and other state and federal consumer protection statutes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and manage complex enforcement cases
  • Provide legal advice to the Office of Charitable and Regulatory Programs
  • Assist in drafting official opinions and reviewing proposed legislation
  • Work with counterparts in other states and federal agencies

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and manage complex enforcement cases
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with state/federal government officials, a diverse workforce, and the general public
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of litigation experience in state and federal courts, concentrating on consumer protection or charitable solicitation matters
  • Admitted to the Virginia State Bar
