Nurse Leadership Position in Mother Baby Unit

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Supervisor to lead our Mother Baby Unit team at Ascension St. Vincent Carmel in Carmel, IN.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will oversee the daily operations of the unit, ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient workflow. Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising and coordinating the activities of clinical and non-clinical staff members to deliver excellent patient care.
- Assessing patient care needs and developing patient care assignments for the unit.
- Delegating tasks to staff members based on their skills and abilities, in accordance with state nursing practice acts.
- Evaluating the care delivered by staff members and providing feedback to improve performance.
- Participating in the hiring process for new staff members assigned to the shift.
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- A valid Registered Nurse license from the Indiana Board of Nursing.
- BLS Provider certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross within 30 days of hire date.
- At least one year of cumulative job-specific experience as a Registered Nurse.
Candidates with leadership experience, particularly in the Mother Baby Unit, are highly desirable. A minimum of two years of Registered Nursing experience is also preferred.
