Caregiver Coordinator

About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medication Aide to join our team at Sunrise Senior Living. As a Caregiver Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of care for our residents.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for administering medications and treatments in a safe and organized manner, documenting medication administration, and providing resident care while adhering to federal, state/provincial, and local laws, standards, and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments according to prescribed schedules and protocols.
• Document medication administration and ensure accurate recording of resident information.
• Provide resident care, including assistance with daily living activities, while maintaining a safe and clean environment.
• Collaborate with the Resident Care Director (RCD) and Wellness Nurse to ensure smooth medication administration and address any concerns or issues that may arise.
• Maintain confidentiality of all resident information, including medication records.
• Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge, including CPR and First Aid certification.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required; certifications may be necessary depending on state/provincial regulations.
• Previous experience working with seniors is preferred but not required.
• Able to make choices and decisions in the best interest of residents.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in difficult situations.
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
