Key Responsibilities- Assess and document resident conditions, recognizing significant changes and notifying physicians and families as needed.
- Oversee the care provided by licensed practical nurses, nursing assistants, and restorative aides, immediately reporting substandard care to the Director of Nursing.
- Participate in daily rounds with physicians to ensure coordination of resident care and timely completion of documentation.
- Evaluate unit functions to ensure resident care, staff relations, and efficiency of service, reporting concerns to the Director of Nursing.
- Communicate with staff, ancillary departments, Home Care Providers, and family members to discuss issues related to resident care.
- Current Registered Nurse license in West Virginia, with 12 continuing education hours required annually.
- First Aid and CPR certification, IV certification preferred.
- Ability to use lift equipment and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and staff.
