TEMPEST Engineer Role

We are seeking a skilled TEMPEST engineer to work with our team at Reflexive Concepts. As a TEMPEST engineer, you will be responsible for performing TEMPEST testing and providing engineering recommendations to ensure the security of our nation's systems.

You will work closely with our existing TEMPEST subject matter experts to grow your knowledge and skills, as well as share your TEMPEST expertise with others. This is an excellent opportunity to work onsite with customers, integrated into their team to ensure mission success.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience with TEMPEST testing, design, or engineering
  • TEMPEST certified technician (Certified TEMPEST Professional Level II)
  • TS/SCI with Poly preferred, but can consider candidates that are clearable

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up Equipment under test (EUT) enclosure in accordance with Govt specs
  • Properly execute TEMPEST test methods and signal analysis
  • Record all test results and concerns
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve Emanation Security (EMSEC) vulnerabilities
  • Work with TEMPEST vendors
  • Perform Test set up ambient measurements
  • Capture and Analyze qualification test data and results and writing reports
  • Work with project teams to evaluate products with respect to NSITSSAM
  • Verify TESTEST test requirements by the CTTA
  • Attend TEM with crypto device user / customer, CSCM and vendor
  • Provide testing of certified cryptographic equipment to discover vulnerabilities in secure systems
  • Perform TEMPEST testing of COTS equipment to discover the extent of vulnerabilities for countermeasure purposes
  • Validate IASRD is applied consistently throughout the IC
