Job Title: Inspirational Youth Support Specialist
Company Overview: Community Residences is a dynamic organization dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to our clients. We are seeking an inspirational individual to join our team as a Residential Instructor.
Estimated Salary: $43,000 - $53,000 per year, depending on experience.
Job Description:About the Role: As a Residential Instructor, you will be responsible for creating a positive learning environment for our clients. You will develop strategies to help them cope with stressful situations and facilitate independent performance and mastery in various areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Clients with Daily Tasks: Assist clients with daily tasks, such as meal preparation, laundry, and household chores.
- Maintain a Safe Environment: Maintain a safe environment for clients by utilizing approved protective hold techniques and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Develop Treatment Plans: Develop treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to address clients' individual needs.
- Monitor Client Progress: Monitor client progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervisor, program manager, clinician, or RN.
- Administer Medication: Administer medication to clients at prescribed times, following established policies and procedures.
- Maintain Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality of client information and adhere to CRI's Confidentiality Policy.
- Participate in Training: Participate in mandatory training sessions, including in-services, staff meetings, conferences, and other required trainings.
- Schedule: Work a flexible schedule, including Saturday (7am-3pm) and Sunday (7am-3pm), Thursday (3pm-10pm), and 23 hours per week.
Requirements:
- Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid CT driver's license with a good driving record.
- Education: Associate's Degree preferred, with at least one year of experience in the Human Services field.
- Training: Physical Management Training (PMT), First Aid, CPR, and Medication Certification required within specified time frames.
- Skills: Excellent communication skills, thoroughness, and motivation to improve the quality of life for our clients.
