Telecare Mental Health Peer Coach

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Mental Health Peer Coach. This role is designed for individuals who have lived experience with mental health challenges and want to make a difference in the lives of others.

About the Role:

The Mental Health Peer Coach will work with members served to explore, create, and meet their own recovery goals. This will involve engaging in meaningful conversations, providing consultation to the team, and responding to critical situations with high-level engagement and de-escalation skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop relationships with members served to understand their needs and preferences
  • Facilitate goal-oriented conversations to support members' recovery
  • Provide consultation to the team to promote Telecare's Recovery Culture
  • Respond to critical situations with effective engagement and de-escalation techniques

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Current Certification by the State of Washington Peer Counselor Training Program
  • One year or part-time equivalent of experience supporting members served with behavioral health challenges
  • Experience as a beneficiary of the public Behavioral Health system of care
  • Valid and current driver's license, and personal vehicle insurance with your name listed as a driver
