Job Overview

At Madison Reed Hair Color Bar, we are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Assistant Colorist to join our team. As an Assistant Colorist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional guest experiences and supporting our Licensed Colorists in delivering top-notch services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Licensed Colorists in providing seamless guest experiences from arrival to departure.
  • Support the development of your skills and knowledge in hair color theory, application, and services.
  • Contribute to achieving monthly sales goals and other key performance indicators.
  • Ensure the Hair Color Bar meets company standards for cleanliness, merchandising, and inventory management.
  • Adhere to company protocols and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Active cosmetology license in the state of employment.
  • Entry-level experience in customer service or retail sales, with a preference for salon or beauty industry experience.
  • Effective communication, problem-solving, and people skills in a fast-paced retail or salon environment.
  • Comfortable operating point-of-sale systems.
  • Fluency in English.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this position, team members will regularly stand, walk for four plus consecutive hours; repetitive and regular bending and twisting at the waist; manipulating fingers and hands, bend and reach wrists and arms, reach with hands and arms or move up to ten pounds. May occasionally sit, kneel, stoop, crouch, and lift, push, pull up to ten pounds. Additionally, team members will communicate regularly with guests via ongoing conversations and consultations.
