Job Description

LILT is a pioneering AI solution provider for enterprise translations, offering a unique stack comprising a Contextual AI Engine, Connector APIs, and Human Adaptive Feedback. We're seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead for our Engineering team to collaborate with talented colleagues in driving projects on Lilt's Linguist GUI, App Server, and backend systems. As a Staff Fullstack Engineer, you'll be responsible for proposing ideas, defining, driving, and executing projects that enable linguists to deliver truly localized experiences.

About Us

LILT has its roots in Google Translate, where our founders, Spence and John, worked as researchers at Stanford and Berkeley. They recognized the need for enterprise-grade translations and left Google to start LILT, assembling a cutting-edge research team to close the gap between machine translation and quality standards.

Our mission is to make information accessible to everyone, and we've prioritized investments in Large Language Models to achieve this goal. With a strong preference for building our own backend technology, you'll be working with the latest natural language processing techniques and ideas.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

Bachelor of Science or Master's degree in Computer Science (Master's preferred)4+ years of professional experience as a Fullstack engineerExperience leading an engineering team in a technical capacityExperience working on large-scale, distributed software systemsProficiency in React or other associated libraries, JavaScript, CSS, and HTMLExperience with backend technologies such as Java and PythonSolid relational database knowledge and significant experience with very large MySQL installationsBasic knowledge of NLP and machine learning techniquesProfessional fluency in English
