Soil Conservationist Internship Opportunity

Job Summary

This internship provides a career-oriented introduction to the background, philosophy, concepts, and scope of NRCS soil conservation management programs and a practical understanding of the policies of the employing organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in program and conservation planning for a variety of soil and water conservation practices.
  • Learn to perform surveys and set construction stakes for a variety of practices.
  • Gain experience in a variety of activities, including rotational grazing and high tunnels.
  • Receive training in the principles, concepts, work processes, and regulations of one or more functional areas of Soil Conservation and Biological Sciences.

Requirements

High school diploma and currently enrolled at NTC (or recent graduate). Cover letter, Resume, NTC Transcript, and three references required.

Work Environment

Indoor/office work environment with occasional outdoor work in various weather conditions.
