Job Title: Global Benefits Manager

At altafiber, we are seeking a highly skilled Global Benefits Manager to lead our benefits department in the administration of our domestic and international benefit plans. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in benefits administration, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

  • Establish partnerships with external vendors and stakeholders to enhance health, wealth, and wellness offerings for our global workforce.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for the benefits department, providing guidance and support to employees and management.
  • Direct and review the company's domestic and international health and welfare benefit plans, focusing on process improvements and benefit enhancements.
  • Manage annual benefit renewal processes for U.S., Canada, India, and UK benefits, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
  • Provide direct supervision and coaching of benefit department members, promoting professional growth and development.
  • Stay up-to-date on legal and regulatory requirements for each benefit plan, ensuring compliance and adherence to external regulations.
  • Oversee all ACA reporting and stay informed about regulatory changes affecting domestic and international benefit plans, ensuring company benefit plans and practices are in compliance.
  • Develop and execute communication strategies to convey benefits information to employees in a clear, effective, and timely manner.
  • Conduct periodic internal audits of benefit plans, ensuring accurate and timely payment to vendors.
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex employee issues related to benefit plans, providing prompt and effective resolution.
  • Ensure adequate processes, controls, compliance reviews, compliance reporting, and audits are in place and completed successfully.
  • Manage the company's immigration process, working with internal stakeholders and outside immigration counsel to support immigration applications.

Requirements:

  • Four years of college resulting in a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
  • CEBS Certification a plus.
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in related field.
  • ADP experience preferred.
  • International benefits administration experience required.
  • Excellent strategic planning skills, creative problem-solving capability, and project management skills.
  • Professional written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to follow-up in a timely manner.
  • Must work well in a team-oriented environment.
  • Skilled with Microsoft Office suite of programs.
