Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Director of IT Operations to lead our technology team at Gaylord Hotels, a part of Marriott International. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for directing and managing the implementation, support, enhancement, and utilization of data and telecommunication systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and manage the implementation, support, enhancement, and utilization of data and telecommunication systems utilizing internal, corporate, and vendor resources.
  • Verify that resources are utilized to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Direct the activities and monitor the performance of the Information Technology staff in support of computer operations, operating systems, database administration, desktop/help desk support, telecommunications, data networks, and system security.
  • Partner with Corporate Information Technology and Property Senior Management to develop and implement policies and procedures that support the company's goals and objectives.
  • Prepare and administer the departmental budget and forecasting.
  • Provide guidance to the department in the following areas: demand management, solution definition, business analysis, project management, and service provider management.
  • Verify that the appropriate security and disaster recovery policies and procedures are implemented, maintained, and adhered to.
  • Identify solutions that may advance opportunities, address pain points, or further the business strategy.
  • Coordinate the implementation of business processes, data integrity audits, and functional training to support the use of business systems.
  • Provide high-level project and vendor oversight.
  • Serve as liaison between departments and selected vendors as needed.
  • Provide high-level client relationship support to both departmental and property sales teams for all client events.
Requirements
  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related major; 10 years' experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related professional area.
  • 4-year bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related major; certified trainer; 5 years' experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related professional area.
What We Offer

Marriott International offers a competitive salary range of $164,000 to $194,000 annually, a bonus program, comprehensive health care benefits, 401(k) plan with up to 5% company match, employee stock purchase plan at 15% discount, accrued paid time off (including sick leave where applicable), life insurance, group disability insurance, travel discounts, adoption assistance, paid parental leave, health savings account (except for positions based out of or performed in Hawaii), flexible spending accounts, tuition assistance, pre-tax commuter benefits, other life and work wellness benefits, and may include other incentives such as stock awards and deferred compensation plans.
