Purpose and Scope:
This critical care travel nurse position in North Carolina presents an exceptional opportunity for dedicated and skilled professionals to join our team at PRIDE Health. As a vital member of our progressive care unit team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with healthcare teams, and ensuring seamless patient transitions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced progressive care unit setting, focusing on critical care patients requiring close monitoring and life-sustaining interventions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive patient care plans, addressing complex medical needs and promoting optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in bedside reporting and handovers, ensuring accurate communication and minimizing errors.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical guidelines, protocols, and best practices in critical care nursing, applying this knowledge to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Current RN licensure in the state of North Carolina or eligibility for licensure through compact privilege.
- BSN degree from an accredited nursing program required; MSN or DNP preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a registered nurse in a progressive care unit or similar setting.
- Proficiency in electronic health records systems and familiarity with medical terminology.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment.
Estimated Salary:
We offer a competitive salary package based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week, with tax-free stipend amounts determined individually. Based on industry standards and regional factors, we estimate this role's compensation to be around $1700-$2000 per week. This amount may vary depending on individual circumstances and qualifications.
