Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate MRI scanners to produce high-quality images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes.
  • Provide patient-centered care, ensuring a positive experience for each individual.
  • Screen patients for any precautions or contraindications before exams, using two patient identifiers to ensure accuracy.
  • Explain and prepare patients for MRI procedures, positioning them correctly for optimal imaging.
  • Perform routine and advanced MRI procedures with minimal supervision, providing patient support throughout the process.
  • Adjust scan parameters correctly and as needed, maintaining a high level of quality and safety.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, referring physicians, and other associates to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Accurately maintain patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Ensure compliance with all HIPAA guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

Requirements:

  • ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing.
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved school of radiography.
  • Licensed Radiological Technologist in the applicable state, if required.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Training and experience sufficient to competently perform MRI procedures independently.
  • Certification in imaging specialty.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual.
